It’s a behemoth simple put. Besides that it is a really amazing console. Just setting it up and downloading a few games for my son, I could really notice the download speed and performance upgrades. Does not run hot so far it has been running terratech in 4K hdr for about half hour. See picture. The Xbox one x would easily hit 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
    Hope you never sell them
This should be illegal. What a scummy thing to do.

Only one issue I had. No where in the box is the fortnite and rocket leage cards. I actually had to contact Microsoft to find out how to obtain this . Its hidden in the settings under account under a tab that says included with this xbox . I hope this helps anyone having the same issue
I think you're a serious gamer this probably isn't the console for you. The series x or PS5 have more power and can run more games at a higher frame rate and at 4k resolutions. With that being said the series s is mostly a gamepass access device. And I think for $300 it offers great value especially when paired with game pass give you access to hundreds of different games. As for performance it's still "next gen" and several games support 120 FPS. If you do have some old titles in your library for example Grand theft Auto V you can now play those at 60 FPS instead of the 30 the original Xbox One played at. I think in a few years this console will likely be outdated in terms of performance. that's just the nature of mid level hardware and the console product life cycle. However as mentioned $300 puts you at a great price point. And considering the alternatives are significantly over MSRP and PC gaming hardware essentially starts at $800 on the second hand market picking one of these up can be a great choice for gaming over the next few years! Also don't forget this is digital games only no DVDs so old Xbox games you may have purchase DVDs for cannot be played on this console. But games you have previously purchased digitally can be brought over to this console and be played no problem.
lets just start off by saying im true gamer in his 40's and owner of 4 xboxs a xbox 1x, Xbox series x, 2 series s, ps4, ps4 pro, ps5 and all 3 verions of the Nintendo switches plus older console. as for the series s i have one hooked to a 1440p 144hz monitor and it plays great at 120hz and it looks dam good. the other is on a 4k 75hz monitor and again it plays and loooks great. if u have the money to spare get one even if u have ps5 already its cheap price well built and with game pass its just completes it or without it still does. the smart delivery system is top notch works flawlessly and have alot of great games to play. plus after Microsoft brought Bethsaida Bethesda maker of fallout doom elder scrolll and alot more plus the recent purchase of activision all their games call of duty starfirld and many more will only be on xbox. honestly everyone should have one of these in their house

This game is an awesome take of the campy horror flicks from the 80s. Your choices affect the outcome of the story so choose wisely! Characters in the game are likeable and some provide some comic relief during scarier interactions. This is a great game to pop on with friends, so you can take turns choosing what to say next. The story is good and takes around 6-10 hours depending on how you play. Graphics on the series x look amazing and almost photorealistic in some scenes. Overall 8/10 game
I really like this game but it was a very short game I thought .
If you love Supermassive’s games this is right up your alley. Love playing these style games with my wife. Tons of accessibility options. It won’t win any awards but it was a fun, cliché ridden ride to the end. The only thing I felt that was lacking was the “different” ends felt really cheap and very few obvious decisions only effected who lives and dies. Most dialogue options ended up taking you to the same point anyway. Felt like if a character didn't like what you said it didn't change any outcome.

Alright, I'll preface this by saying I'm not a racing sim person. Never have been. I'd gotten an earlier version of Forza for the Xbox 360 out of curiosity, and my son enjoyed it a bit, but neither of us really got into it, being into first person shooters instead on the consoles...But in April I grabbed an Oculus Rift, and of course one of the things I ultimately had to try was a racing game, and it really turned it into a different experience. Enough that I decided I needed to try a wheel and pedals to control it, not just the Xbox controller. So I did some digging, and this was the one that seemed to hit the right price point and was supported in the Project Cars game I have on the Oculus system.Setting up couldn't be much easier - I was clamping it to my PC stand (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B001BBKNI6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and that actually worked quite well, but I did end up just ordering an actual racing wheel stand this evening to improve the experience. The only thing I would've wanted them to change is to have some kind of plate or bar on the bottom to help hold all the cables in place as you're getting things set up. There are small channels underneath this, where they run, so they're recessed and this sits flat on the surface you're clamping it to. But I had issues with a short cable getting pulled out the first time I was setting things up. Having something that slid over that to help keep them in place would've been nice. But it's a minor annoyance, wasn't even worth dropping a star.So once you get things plugged into this, you can connect it to power, but don't plug into the PC until you've installed the software, which will then prompt you to connect the USB cable. I did this on Windows 10, and had no issues. There was a firmware update right away, so I ran that as well. Then it was time to play.Project Cars in the Oculus had support for this, so that's what I tried first, and then realized that this is apparently a game that reverses the pedals by default, so I had to go into the options and remap all three pedals to get it to work. But once I did that, I was quite blown away by the experience.Having never used a racing wheel before, I didn't expect the force holding the wheel in place. I expected force feedback as things happened, but I didn't realize how firmly this wheel was going to hold the center position. But it's awesome since it really helps keep you stable. Most of the video reviews and such talked about how it takes time to convert from a controller to a wheel, and that you can expect to "relearn" since it's a whole different experience. I didn't have that issue, since my racing sim gaming was so minimal. I took to it quite quickly, and inside of about three or four races, I had a good feel for it, and my performance soared compared to the hand held controller. Many people complain about the bright light on the wheel above the Xbox button. For me, not an issue since I have a headset on for the VR system, but I can see how that would be annoying if you're using monitors. Nothing a bit of tape wouldn't solve, but I think the least they could have done is had an option in the software settings to turn the light off altogether.Button placement is alright, I wish they had been a little closer to the wheel's edges to make it easier to hit, but they're not hard to get at as they are, just not quite as ergonomic as I would've hoped.Unit is pretty quiet as well.I see a lot of people complain about the brake pedal being stiff, and it certainly is, compared to the others, but for me it isn't an issue. I may not know enough about these though to have the "right feel" for how it SHOULD be, and that may be why it doesn't bother me. But as a total racing sim tyro, it's not causing me any issues at all.For me, this really became a "Wow, I'm sure glad I got this!" kind of an item the first day I had it. With the VR headset, this really completes the immersion. And when it's on this desk I'm using right now, and I"m on the bench in front of the setup, my hands are EXACTLY where they show up in the Oculus, so the illusion is complete for me.Feels great, love the resistance in turns since that really helps me keep on track and not spin out as much, and while the price seems steep to me, I didn't have many options considering I'm on a Windows 10 PC and may use it on the Xbox One as well at some point. But while the price was steep, I'm looking at it as one of those, "You get what you pay for" things. It completes the illusion of actually racing, and that made the price point less of an issue for me.
I bought this to play Forza Motorsport. Works great with 5,6,7 so far. My lap times have greatly improved.Force feedback makes you feel like you're driving the car. You have to plug it into the wall to have the force feedback work, and it needs a USB to connect to the XBOX. I had to buy an extension cord to reach my table. It comes with desk / table clamps which work well, haven't had any issues with it moving. The pedals have carpet spikes which you need to extend or it will slide on the carpet. It looks like it also has feet so it should stick to a hardwood floor though I haven't tested that. On carpet it doesn't move at all. Many reviews said that the brake pedal was too stiff. I haven't had any issues with it. I play sitting in a chair wearing shoes. I suppose it could be an issue if you are not wearing proper footwear or not sitting in a driving position, but it has not been an issue for me. I can easily hit 100% braking force per the in game telemetry.Overall very happy, nothing bad to say about it.
Wish I had done my research before purchasing. A few weeks after I bought this my brother bought the Thrustmaster TMX PRO which sells for basically the same price as this or less. After using his wheel I would definitely have bought that. Both wheels do not come with a shifter and both do have the clutch pedal and conical brake mod for more realistic braking feel. Yet on the TMX PRO the mod is easily installed or removed depending on your preference. On the Logitech it is permanently installed and requires invasive action to remove which also voids the warranty. I like it though, it was a little too stiff at first but after about 30 hours of racing it has broken in and feels great. Both wheels offer an optional shifter, and the Logitech one offers 4 things over the Thrustmaster's, push down reverse, alot quieter, very short throw, and a much lower price. The Thrustmaster one is over twice the price, but it feels better, is made mostly of metal and is harder to accidentally put in to the wrong gear. The Thrustmaster also has a separate gate plate that is included with it to make it a sequential shifter. This is excellent for rally driving where the paddle shifters can be difficult to use. It is however very squishy in sequential mode not having that nice positive click that a sequential shifter should have. Because of that I would not purchase it if you're mainly looking for a sequential shifter due to its poor feedback. Their are better dedicated options out there. The pedals on the Logitech are 8 bit giving a total of 256 unique positions. This sounds like a lot, but when running F1 cars where braking needs to be incredibly precise the Thrustmaster 12 bit pedals with 4,096 unique positions are noticeably better. The Logitech pedals do grip the carpet better though and look nicer. The wheel, the G920 is prettier by far. The all brushed metal construction with leather wrap looks good and feels good in the hand. The Thrustmaster is mostly plastic with some rubber grips at the 10 and 2 'o clock positions. It looks cheap and initially feels cheap too. It is however about a 1/4 inch larger than the Logitech and I like the slight increase in size.Yet this is where the Thrustmaster runs away with the show for me. When actually driving with it the force feedback is noticeably better, its more precise and less notchy. I can't say it is in a whole other league over the Logitech, but it is better. The cheapness of the plastic wheel is all but forgotten from the excellent precision feel you get from the force feedback. That being said the Logitech is not without its upsides like better looks and overall build quality. The wheel base does have bolt holes for hard mounting. Which is real nice when using it with a stand. The TMX PRO on the other hand has no mounting holes and its desk clamp sticks down so much it will block your keyboard tray. The Logitech uses dual soft mounts that don't stick down nearly as much allowing access to your keyboard. Both wheel's pedal boxes and optional shifters do have bolt holes for hard mounting. From what I've read around the net, the TMX pro does have a higher failer rate. So if you are looking for something to last a long time the Logitech would most likely be your better bet. Its dual motor gear force feedback system is antiquated and has been around since the G27 wheel which is why it doesn't feel quite as nice as it could. Yet it is a proven system with many G27 wheels still in use today. I'm just speculating, but I think this may be why Logitech has chosen not to update it, just because it has proven to be so reliable.

It's really nice! I've always wanted an Astro headset so I was excited for this one and it' soo comfortable. Not too heavy and the fabric/foam was exactly what I was looking for.The only issue I have with it is the little headset piece right at the top of your head. It's become crazy loose so it constantly falls out. From what I've researched there's no "fix" you kind of just have to deal with it or find a way around it. Example being, I saw on Etsy that somebody 3D printed a clamp to hold it in place (that they sell for like 25$). I ended up just taking 2 bread bag ties and tied it into place. It works but it leaves indents in the foam and makes me nervous that it will be stuck like that lol.If I can edit this I will add a pictureIt's really inconvenient but I still love the headset so I won't be returning it unless I find another issue.
Let me first start out by saying I am a casual gamer. I've been playing Xbox One for the last few years and decided to get this head set for that particular gaming system. This is a great gaming headset! I upgraded from my Turtle Beach headset that served me very well for many years. Here is what I liked and did not like about the Astro A50.Pros:Great sound: Customizable pre-sets and default presets make this headset ideal for those that want to tweak their headset settings. You can easily adjust settings on this headset by using the free Astro app on any Windows PC or Apple OS computer. You can also select one of three headsets loaded on the headset by simply pushing the preset button. This cycles through three presets on the headset (1-3).Great feel: This headset is lightweight. You can easily wear this for 8+ hours during those long gaming sessions and still not get fatigued by wearing it. While the headset is lightweight it is still built very very well and feel solid. You won't feel like you can easily break this headset which for the price point is a good thing. The headset also does not pinch or make my head uncomfortable in anyway and if measured out I have a large head.Wireless: The headset is 100% wireless. The only time you will need to have the headset docked is for charging. There is no cables to get in the way between you and the gaming controller or the gaming console. The freedom is nice. With the wireless capabilities also comes outstanding range. When wearing the headset I can literally go to any area of my apartment and still hear voice and game sounds. It's also nice not being tethered to your controller or console. If you've never experience true wireless gaming this will be mind blowing for you--it was for me.Mic: While some reviews have posted complaints about the mic quality I have had really no issues with the mic. I am careful with it and raise and lower it with ease as to not damage the mechanism. The mic is turned on and off by raising and lowering. Up is in the off/mute position and down is in the on/voice position. No complaints from anyone in my gaming party on not being able to hear me either. You may need to carefully bend the end of the mic inward to your face a bit for best results. Keep in mind that if you do this the mic will hit the headset in the off/mute position so be careful not to damage it. While it would be nice to have a switch to tap to turn the mic on or off it is also nice to have the mic up out of the way for those solo gaming sessions or if you don't feel like being social during a particular gaming session.Cons:Adjusting in game and voice chat volume: While there is a "rocker switch" to adjust game and voice chat sound it is often confusing and I find myself constantly looking to see which way I should push the switch to adjust either the game volume or voice chat volume. This is especially true if I don't use the headset for several weeks between gaming sessions. Again, I am a casual gamer so this is my experience. Opinions on this will vary!Overall volume: It is nice to be able to easily raise or lower overall sound volume. This is game volume and voice chat volume. The downside to the particular way this headset's volume control works is that it's on a round dial. This dial is too easily manipulated especially if you are resting in a reclined position. I find myself inadvertently lowering the volume in the middle of a gaming session and then I need to remove one hand from the gaming controller to re-adjust the volume control. This is a drawback to the design but not a deal breaker. If you never game in a reclined position you very well may never experience an issue with this!Overall this is light years ahead of any basic headset and even more advanced in many ways over the competitors top end headset models. If you are a serious or casual gamer this is a headset that you should check-out and you'll probably realize that this is the route to go.Thanks for reading!
The set up was a little annoying but overall not bad, I bought these for pc and really like them. My biggest issue is the stand that charges the headset is kinda finicky to get it to sit right and charge. This headset is really good otherwise.

I bought this headset, because I HATE wiring. I did alot of research and my kids have the wired Turtle Beach gaming headset and the said they loved it and it has great quality. So I spend alittle more $ on this headset and will never go back to anything else. I have used it on a computer for watching videos and playing XBOX from my PC. All I had to do is plug in the adaptor an it did the rest for me. I have also hooked it up to the XBOX Series X. Again no issues. Could not ask for a better set of headphones. Battery life is extreamly long. The only down fall is you can not plug it into the control to charge and use the headset.
The only complaint I have is the audio falls out and has Static sounds every once in a while ( that is why I gave four stars). As much as I paid for it you would think that wouldn’t be an issue. But I do love them and I can use them on other platforms so I am happy. Well since my last review it stopped working completely. Updated the dongle on the laptop, again. I tried everything. I had to send them back. So please keep your box just in case you get one with a bad dongle so you can send it back.
Listen. I like a pair of solid headphones. I had the xbox version already switched to pc and bought these. Simple. Dongle plugs in. Hit button connected. Use turtle beach app to noise cancel (phone required) away you go.Battery easily lasts longer than you can physically game for (unless its longer than 16 hours) these will disintegrate from earth's proximity to the sun before falling apart (if you dont mistreat them).I replaced the foam pads on my xbox pair after two years of daily use. Just got a bit grody, expect to do this with these. .. the official replacement pads are dope, I tried third party for some green ones. Work well too.AlsoI look cool while streaming to my 3 subscribers on twitch. Like n subscribe.

    1. The charger is deceptively small, which means it takes up less space.2. The build quality is solid and the black color matches perfectly with my default black Xbox Series X controller.3. Installing the battery was quite easy. Just add the battery pack and replace the cover.4. The controller sits nicely and securely on the charger without wobbling.5. The magnetic attraction between the controller and the charger works but it's not super strong. To give you a sense of it, the magnetic attraction is much weaker than between a MagSafe iPhone and it's charger. This means that when you place the controller on the charger, you don't get as much of a feedback that you've put the controller correctly on the charger. It's possible to put the controller on the charger in a misaligned way so that it doesn't charge. This is not a big deal as I explain in the next two points.6. If you correctly put the controller on the charger, there is an audible and satisfying click. Listen for this click sound.7. The lights work as expected for me. I know that other reviewers said that the lights didn't work as expected for them. Maybe, I got lucky but this is how it works: (a) The light is off if the controller is removed from the charger or if the controller is placed incorrectly on the charger, even when the charger is plugged in, (b) when you correctly put the controller on the charger and the battery is less than 100%, an orange light comes on (look for this light to ensure that your controller is charging), (c) if the controller is situated correctly on the charger and when the battery is 100% charged, then the light turns from orange to white.8. The battery pack gives me a good charge at least for now (I've only had this for a week at the time of writing this review). I can play up to 4 hours in one sitting with plenty of charger left. Though, I often take breaks and it's just more convenient to put the controller back on the charger during the breaks than to leave the controller lying around on the couch. But, this battery pack still loses more charge than 2 AA Duracell non-rechargeable, disposable batteries for the same amount of single session playtime. I guess that's a pretty common difference between rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries. In my opinion, this is one of the better controller charging stands of its type. As an example, I got a 3rd party (not Razer) PS5 controller charger and that looks uglier & cheaper (in plastic quality), takes up more space (though charges 2 controllers at once), and is more finicky/wobbly when placing the controller over it.
It might not exactly match, but it's pretty darn close! It still looks great either way and makes keeping your controller topped off easy as can be. Plus it makes for a nice display, where other docks have it more flat to the surface, this puts it a nice viewing angle when not in use.
